Before you Get Zippy... you should know what Zippy is.

Zippy uses a plain text database and a simple Perl script to deliver a wide range of zipcode and location information to display United States' city/town, county, state and zipcode information.

The script is very efficient and analyzes the user input to produce the logical results.

Type in a complete zipcode and Zippy displays the CITY/TOWN, COUNTY and STATE place names for that zipcode.

Type in only a city/town name and Zippy produces a list of any left matching city/town place names... There are endless combinations of complete and partial user input it will handle.

The database currently has approximately 50,000 records and is updated each time we upgrade the program. All customers are provided with free database updates as often as they are changed. Customers are encouraged to inform us of any information that needs to be added, deleted, modified so we can keep our data up to date.

Zippy is original Copyright ©2003-2004 Randy M. Harris, it is based on older versions of Zippy written by Harris for TBBS, TSX and other BBS platforms in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Harris has also coded coded Zippy in other computer languages to allow online, desktop and software access to the data.

HOW TO GET ZIPPY

Zippy is only sold online. This is the only place to get it. If you arrived here by other means, (like typing www.GetZippy.com into a browser)... you may not know you are on the GetZippy page of the LEXIPIXEL.COM website.

Zippy is sold as a .ZIP file, (of course the file is named: ZIPPY.ZIP)... We deliver it to you online in almost any way you'd like, FTP, Web, Email or any other protocol or application that allows file transfer. Alternatively, we can deliver it as a series of plain text files, (source code and data).

We provide a copy of the script in Perl for use online, in a Microsoft DOS format for personal computer use, (you can also run the Perl version on your desktop with ActiveState Perl or other Perl installed). We can provide the raw database in many formats or in intermediary formats which you can import into your existing database applications.
